Physicist Michio Kaku presents a positive view of the near future with the exponential growth of computing power. He says that by 2020, a computer chip that can perform a billion calculations per second will cost a penny to produce - the cost of scrap paper that we throw away. He says chips will be embedded throughout our civil environment and that children will wonder how we ever lived in a world that was dumb.
