The G20 + Politically-Awakened Masses = A World Harder for the US to Control
The original video I had here of Former US National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski speaking at a Council on Foreign Relations dinner in Montreal which he gave in Spring 2009 has been taken down, so I've replaced it with another version of the same speech that he gave around the same time.
He says that an unprecedented "global awakening" to geopolitics and the new political weight acquired by the top twenty world economies (the "G20") are making it increasingly difficult for the US to maintain world dominance.
Around minute 4:30, he refers to a statement he'd recently made in the NY Times:
"To put it *pungently*: in earlier times, it was easier to control one million people than to physically kill one million people; today, it is infinitely easier to kill one million people than to control one million people.”
