A subscriber sent me this clip of the "fake" Moon landing, where a lighting rig comes crashing down in the middle of Neil Armstrong's classic "One small step for man," speechlet and the film crew comes rushing out to re-set. I had a good chuckle.
Here it is, played side-by-side with the official version of that shot, in an old documentary about the First Moon Landing.
The main thing that stands out for me is that Neil Armstrong's voice doesn't match, from clip to clip.
The first clip proves that the iconic lunar footage we've grown up with was relatively easy to fake but it doesn't definitively settle the debate of whether or not the Moon Landings, themselves were faked...
