'Alcohol Can Be a Gas!' by ethanol expert David Blume hits the high points of why alcohol fuel is the smart, sustainable alternative energy solution, in this mind-opening 5-minute version of a longer interview conducted by Wayne Garcia of Portland, Oregon, Fox TV station KPTV, in October 2007.
Blume's book was made into a PBS series and it was ready for broadcast when the public network got a call from one of its biggest advertisers, a Big Oil corporation. The caller said he was upset by the plans to air the series about alcohol as a replacement for petroleum, asking "What's the mater? Don't you like our money?" Needless to say, the series was pulled.
Never mind that countries like Brazil have been using 100% alcohol-fueled cars for over thirty years.
This is what you get when PBS is subsidized by Big Oil and becomes exposed the same kind of corporatist thuggery that the mainstream media is subjected to, every day.
This is why we have to keep the Internet free from such forces!
