Addicts Pass Along Their Recovery to Their Offspring
In a presentation by addiction specialist, Dr. Kevin T. McCauley, he says, "Some people have genes that are more resilient to addiction. Others are more vulnerable." It takes all kinds in this world and the vulnerable bring a lot, in terms of art and culture to the table but they also have the potential to bring something even more powerful than plain old resistant genes: Those with vulnerable genes can *adapt* and learn self-care and sobriety.
